The PQE hMF hybrid modular active filter is a ready-to-connect solution for compensation of mains feedback in commercial and industrial networks. It has a modular design consisting of individual filter modules and can be easily expanded if the power is increased or requirements change.

As with all common active filters on the market, the filter control operates on a current-controlled basis. Depending on the control principle, current transformers have to be installed either in the supply of the distribution (closed loop) or in the output of the load to be compensated (open loop). As a special feature, the PQE hMF can also operate voltage-controlled alone. When operating with “Voltage Control”, no current transformers need to be installed.

For each task, active and passive filter modules can be combined with the hybrid filter system.

PPM Active filter module

The powerful active filter module PPM (power processor module) from ADF Power Tuning compensates harmonics, load unbalances and reactive power with high reaction speed. The robust design predestines the PPM for industrial use.

The ADF PPM300 filter module is available with compensation currents from 50 to 150 A (up to 480 V) and 90 A (up to 690 V).


PPM-W filter module with water cooling

The powerful active filter module PPM-W (power processor module) from ADF Power Tuning compensates harmonics, load unbalance and reactive power with high reaction speed. The robust design predestines the PPM for industrial use.

The water-cooled module compensates up to 150 A harmonic current.

Aktiver Breitbandfilter ABM

ABM Active Broadband Filter Module

The unique broadband filter module with true voltage regulation. Response times in the microsecond range allow optimum compensation results even with highly dynamic disturbance variables. By means of a power electronic simulation of ohmic-inductive or ohmic-capacitive loads, the filter is able to selectively change the line impedance. Thus, an elegant possibility for the attenuation of network resonances is given. The increasing problem with supraharmonics (harmonics > 2.5 kHz) can be solved effectively.

FCM/FCS Harmonic filter module

The voltage-controlled harmonic filter module is a cost-effective solution for reducing individual harmonics. Due to its design, it fits seamlessly as a filter module into our hybrid modular filter series hMF. Wall mounting is also possible for single applications.

One master module FCM can control up to 5 slave modules FCS with the same or different tuning frequency. This makes it very easy to set up filter circuit systems of greater capacity and to expand them later. Parallel operation of FCM and FCS modules with active filter modules is possible.

  • No risk of overload as with classic passive filters
  • Very low losses
  • Pure voltage control – no current transformers necessary!


Universal broadband module PQE UBM

Power system feedback in the frequency range above 2 kHz, such as interference from inverter clock frequencies, commutation dips or high-frequency signal levels, is an increasing and serious problem. These repercussions are often amplified by resonance effects.

The universal broadband filter module is a cost-effective solution for reducing these disturbance variables up to 20 kHz. Due to its design, it fits seamlessly as a filter module into our hybrid modular filter series hMF. Wall mounting is also possible for individual applications.

The PQE UBM filters interference between the phases and phase against N/PE. This means that both common-mode and push-pull interference can be eliminated with one filter module.

NEW: Also available for nominal voltages up to 690 V!


PFM Compensation module 75 kVar

The reactive power demand of modern consumers is strongly decreasing. A separate reactive power compensation system is therefore mostly superfluous today. If capacitive reactive power is nevertheless required, the PFM can be integrated into a hybrid Modular Filter PQE hMF.

With 3x 25 kVar, the compensation module can automatically compensate the reactive power as required. Resonances are avoided by use of chokes for the capacitor stages.
