PQE hMF filter modules – individual configuration
Thanks to the fully modular design of the PQE hMF line filters, tailor-made filter solutions can be quickly and easily assembled for all typical network disturbances:
✔ Harmonics
✔ Interharmonic & Supraharmonic
✔ Clock frequencies & resonances
✔ Reactive power & asymmetry
✔ Transients, common mode & differential mode disturbances
A hybrid modular filter (PQE hMF) consists of several identical or differently combined filter modules, depending on the application. The standard hMF-CAB filter cabinet is available in widths of 400, 600, and 800 mm and a height of 2000 mm.
With protection classes from IP20 to IP54 and optional water cooling, the PQE hMF can be used flexibly – from industrial production facilities to critical infrastructure.
Advantages of the hybrid modular filters PQE hMF
More efficient than pure active line filters – lower losses for higher energy efficiency
Cost-effective solution – lower acquisition costs with maximum performance
Modular expandable – flexibly adaptable, can be retrofitted without great effort
Maximum flexibility – suitable for a wide range of network disturbances and applications
Easy planning & integration – clear modular system for quick implementation
Sensorless Control™ for minimal installation effort – no current transformers required
Autotuning function for standard-compliant power quality – automatic compliance with IEEE519 & EN61000-2-4 without user intervention

hMF CAB filter module cabinet
The hybrid modular active filter PQE hMF is a ready-to-connect solution for compensating grid disturbances in commercial and industrial networks. It is modularly constructed from individual filter modules and can be easily expanded to meet increased performance or changing requirements.

Like all common active filters on the market, the filter control operates in a current-controlled manner. Depending on the control principle, current transformers must be installed either in the incoming feed of the distribution system (closed loop) or in the outgoing feed of the load to be compensated (open loop). As a special feature, the PQE hMF can also operate solely in a voltage-controlled manner. When operating with "Voltage Control," no current transformers are required.
The hybrid filter system allows active and passive filter modules to be combined for each task.

UBM Universal Broadband Module PQE
Network disturbances in the frequency range above 2 kHz, so-called supraharmonics, such as interference caused by converter clock frequencies, commutation dips or high-frequency signal levels, represent an increasing and serious problem. These disturbances are often further amplified by resonance effects.

The PQE UBM filters phase-to-phase and phase-to-N/PE interference. This allows both common-mode and differential-mode interference to be eliminated with one filter module.
